Configuring property navigation

You can configure the property navigation options and the properties that are shown.

To configure property navigation:

  1. In the Meridian Explorer Configurator, in the left pane, select the view of the repository that you want to configure. The selected view appears in the right pane.
  2. In the right pane, click the button for the view that you want to configure. The view's configuration options appear in a new page in Configurator.
  3. In the navigation pane, click Property Navigation to show the available options.
  4. Select or type options using descriptions in the following table.

Option Description

Description

Type a descriptive name for the layout. This name will not appear to users. It is selected from a list when setting the default navigation tool for repository views as described in Configuring repository views.

Maximum number of values

The maximum number of unique values to show for each level of the layout after the user has clicked the (more…) link. If more values than this number exist, a text box will appear that the user can use to filter the values with the Contains operator.

Note    This option is ignored if it exceeds the amount set for the MaxPBNValueCount setting in the application's web.config file as described in Configuring the advanced settings.

Enable multiple selection

Allows users to select multiple values at each level of the layout, which is equivalent to performing a Boolean OR search with the selected values.

  1. Configure the property levels.

    To add a level to the list:

  1. Click Add Property. The Select Property dialog box appears.
  2. Select a property for which to show its values.
  3. Click OK. The property is added as a new level to the end of the level list.

The tooltip icon indicates an invalid destination.

  1. Click Save Changes.
